クレー体のマスターでした。（クレー体はフランス語で、英語でカッパープレートと呼びます）。
緊張することなく、しなやかにペンを使うクレー体は最も楽に、素早く、軽やかに書くことの出来る書体です。
講座の後半ではルイ・セノー氏が1670年頃に作成したフィナンシエール体のマニュアルを使って、
さらに一歩上を目指して優雅な書き方を体験します。（フィナンシエール体はロンド体のファミリーに入ります）。

クレー体に合わせて17世紀から19世紀の間に使われたダイナミックで華やかな書体と技法を使って課題を仕上げます。

The Charm of La Coulée and of La Financière
(Advanced level)
Let's learn directly from 2 great French master calligraphers of the 18th-19th centuries.

3-month course

Alexandre Bourgoin was a master-calligrapher who taught the art of writing at
the Imperial College around 1805 in Paris.
His Coulée, called running hand or Copperplate in English ,
is an easy and quick style of writing.

The second part of the term will focus on the manual of elegant writing called Financière
(a derivative of the Ronde hand) 　created around 1670 by Louis Senault.
With light touch and relaxed fingers, new heights in the art of beautiful writing will be reached.
By combining different writing styles and the techniques of both masters,
students will produce dynamic artworks in the fashion
of the 17th and 19th centuries.
