本コースでは、ケルズの書、リンディスファーン福音書、そして大陸ケルト文化を網羅します。フランス国立図書館とスイスのザンクト・ガレン図書館におけるミュリエル・ガチーニの研究に基づき、装飾的な頭文字の豪華な例を紹介します。最初のレッスンでは、2種類の大文字を学習した後、組紐、巻物、カーペットのページ（絨毯風）に焦点を当てたケルト写本の装飾技法へと進みます。

Of interest to artists as well as calligraphers, this course is devoted
to the mastery of the brilliant Celtic methods of manuscript decoration.
The course starts with the study of 2 styles of built-up capitals: black square capitals in the Runic style and expanded capitals.
Several techniques of interlaces and spirals are applied to the decoration of initial letters, "carpet pages" and margins.
Applications: these decorations are used in and outside large letters, for backgrounds, margins etc.
The combination of classical and modern motifs, gives the possibility of including mysterious and intriguing elements in the creation of calligraphic artwork.
